Description
Lamb kebabs (also called lamb soutzoukakia) are small, baked through skewers, spicy meatballs. Lamb kebabs on skewers are among the best known. For a simpler version, we recommend lamb soutzoukakia
Ingredients

- 350 gr. ground beef
- 350 gr. minced lamb
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh pepermint or mint
- 2 tbsp. teaspoon sumac powder
- 1 tbsp. cumin powder
- 1/2 tbsp. sweet paprika powder
- salt pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl put all the ingredients for the kebabs together and knead so that they mix well.
- Divide the mixture into 6 and shape into soutzoukakia (elongated meatballs)
- Pass the kebabs on skewer sticks and bake them on the coals or on the grill for 9΄-10΄mins., turning them at intervals.
Notes
Cook’s Tip
To achieve the right texture you need to knead the mixture when the minced meat is very cold and repeat for 2-3 times.

Sumac is a spice with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
